Official terms and conditions for notary services in North Carolina.
Book Appointment
1. General
By booking an appointment with First Choice Notary NC, you agree to the terms and policies outlined here.
2. Notarization Requirements
Physical Presence
All signers must be physically present at the time of notarization.
Valid Identification
A valid, unexpired photo ID is required for each signer.
Document Preparation
Documents must be unsigned before the notary arrives (unless otherwise instructed).
3. Fees

Notarization Fee
$10 per notarized signature (per North Carolina law).

Travel Fee
$0.70 per mile (one-way from Spring Hope, NC). This serves as a non-refundable deposit.

After-Hours Fee
For bookings outside Mon–Thurs. 9AM–3PM, Fri. 10AM-2PM, Sat. 9AM-11AM: $25.

Wait Time
Wait time beyond 15 minutes is subject to a $1/minute fee.

Payment Terms
Full payment is due at the time of service.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Important: Travel deposit is non-refundable once your appointment is confirmed.

Rescheduling Policy
You may reschedule with at least 4 hours' notice by calling or texting.

No-Show Policy
No-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in a full-service charge.
6. Service Refusal
We reserve the right to refuse service if:
Identification Issues
Proper identification is not presented
Document Concerns
Document appears fraudulent or incomplete
Signer Concerns
Coercion, impairment, or undue influence is suspected
